• Shakers
• Wooden sticks

Instructions

Create the sounds of a jungle storm—rain (shakers), thunder (drums), birds (whistles).

Build from quiet to loud and back down—like a real storm.

Assessment

Observe and note: ability to follow two-step instructions, use of new vocabulary in context, early problem-solving strategies, and sustained shared thinking episodes. Assess against Development Matters age-band expectations. Observe rhythm keeping and group participation.
