Materials

• Music player
• Jungle sounds mix
• Animal freeze poses

Instructions

Dance freely. When music stops, freeze as a jungle animal. Teacher guesses the poses.

Educator tip

Mix music with sudden animal sounds as freeze signals.

Assessment

Observe and note: ability to follow two-step instructions, use of new vocabulary in context, early problem-solving strategies, and sustained shared thinking episodes. Assess against Development Matters age-band expectations. Observe freeze control and creative posing.
