Objectives

Materials

• Play tickets
• Subtraction mats
• Number lines

Instructions

1. Give each child 10 tickets.

2. Present scenarios: 'You had 7 tickets, gave away 2. How many left?'

3. Physically remove tickets and count remaining.

4. Record number sentences.

Use 'take away' and 'minus' vocabulary interchangeably.
