Composer Study — Introducing a Classical Composer
A composer study is a complete cultural study: history, geography, music, biography. The child who knows Bach's life hears Bach differently. Incorrect information surfaces when peers cross-check during presentations.

- Recordings of representative works
- Musical timeline
- Research materials (books, online sources with adult support)

Instructions
1. Let the child choose a composer. 2. Gather research materials. 3. Take notes on: life, country, era, major works, musical innovations. 4. Listen to at least three pieces. 5. Describe each piece's mood, instruments, form. 6. Place the composer on the musical timeline. 7. Write a short biography. 8. Prepare a presentation with a short listening excerpt. 9. Let children pick composers by listening first — instinct matters. Recordings drive the study; facts follow interest.
