Instructions
Children create shape mobiles while learning about shapes used in community signs to indicate rules.
Educator tip
Pre-punch holes and cut yarn to appropriate lengths to reduce frustration and increase success.

Observe and note: ability to follow two-step instructions, use of new vocabulary in context, early problem-solving strategies, and sustained shared thinking episodes. Assess against Development Matters age-band expectations. Teacher observation of student's participation and ability to create shape mobile with some assistance.
