• Blue fabric (river)
• Stepping 'stones' (circles)
• Crocodile pictures

Instructions

Cross the 'crocodile river' by jumping on stones. Don't fall in the water!

Vary stone distance for different skill levels.

Assessment

Observe and note: ability to follow two-step instructions, use of new vocabulary in context, early problem-solving strategies, and sustained shared thinking episodes. Assess against Development Matters age-band expectations. Observe balance, jumping, and turn-taking.
