Materials
- Large leaves (various shapes)
- Green and brown paint
- Paper
- Paint trays
Instructions
Dip leaves in paint and press onto paper. Create jungle floor patterns with overlapping prints.
Educator tip
Collect leaves beforehand and discuss their features—veins, edges, sizes.
Assessment
Observe and note: ability to follow two-step instructions, use of new vocabulary in context, early problem-solving strategies, and sustained shared thinking episodes. Assess against Development Matters age-band expectations. Observe printing technique and pattern creation.
