Objectives

• Identify and imitate 3-4 sounds made by community helper vehicles or tools

Materials

• Sound recordings (siren, bell, horn)
• Helper pictures

Instructions

1. Play a sound recording.

2. Ask: 'What helper makes that sound?'

3. Show the matching picture.

4. Practice making the sound together.

5. Move like the helper while making sounds.

Educator tip

Keep volume low and watch for children sensitive to loud sounds.

Assessment

Note which sounds child can identify and imitate correctly.
