Close with share-out: each child shows work and says one sentence about it.
Educator tip
Keep steps visual; do one step at a time; pre-cut when needed; use sentence frames ("I built…", "I felt…").
Assessment
Observe and note: ability to follow two-step instructions, use of new vocabulary in context, early problem-solving strategies, and sustained shared thinking episodes. Assess against Development Matters age-band expectations. Checklist: participation, basic answers, completion of task with support, use of target vocabulary.
