Objectives

Materials

• Circus figurines (clowns, elephants, lions)

• Sorting trays

Instructions

1. Display circus figurines and number cards.

2. Ask students to count specific items and find the matching number.

3. Create sets of circus items to match each numeral.

4. Practice counting forward and backward.

Use tactile counting—have children touch each item as they count.
