Gan Yeladim offers a welcoming educational environment for young children between the ages of three and five years old. As a Reggio inspired preschool, the program is built upon the belief that children are capable and curious learners who thrive when their unique strengths are recognized. The school places a high priority on creating an emotionally secure atmosphere where students, families, and staff members all feel supported and valued. This sense of security serves as the foundation for a positive early childhood experience, helping children gain the confidence they need to explore the world around them.
The physical environment at the school is designed to be an active participant in the learning process. Students spend their days in bright and expansive classrooms that are thoughtfully equipped with authentic materials. Rather than passive instruction, the school emphasizes a hands-on approach to learning where children are encouraged to touch, build, and create. By providing high quality materials that mirror the real world, the educators ensure that the setting is both professional and inviting for young learners. The curriculum is rooted in developmentally appropriate practices, ensuring that every activity matches the specific growth stage of the child.
Instruction at Gan Yeladim is led by educators who focus on fostering independent thinking through careful communication. Instead of providing simple answers, teachers use open ended questions to spark curiosity and encourage students to solve problems on their own. The daily routine includes meaningful choices, allowing children to take ownership of their education and follow their interests. Through this balance of guidance and freedom, the school helps children develop critical thinking skills while maintaining the joy and wonder of childhood. All programs are conducted in English, providing a consistent linguistic environment for all participants.
The school operates with a firm commitment to inclusivity, maintaining a non-discriminatory policy for both student enrollment and staff hiring. This openness creates a diverse and vibrant community where all families are welcome to participate in their child's early developmental journey. Located at a facility designed for exploration and growth, the school invites interested parents to see the classrooms in person. To learn more about the program or to schedule a tour of the facility, families are encouraged to contact the school by calling 907-279-1200 or visiting their website.
