Montessori For Children is a preschool in Singapore serving children from 18 months to 6 years. Since 1992, it has been trusted by families in Singapore and beyond for the early years of a child’s education. The school describes itself as a place where the early years shape a child for life, and its atmosphere is presented as warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully focused on young children. Classrooms are purposefully designed to be calm and engaging, helping children feel comfortable as they begin to explore and learn.
The school follows an authentic Montessori approach rooted in Dr. Maria Montessori’s philosophy. Its programmes follow the highest standards set by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), and the Singapore schools are fully licensed by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA). The learning experience is described as rich and hands-on, with an emphasis on building independence and cultivating a lifelong love of learning. English is the language listed for the school, and the programme information provided on the site includes Infant Community for 18 to 30 months and Casa for 3 to 6 years, with an Extended Day option also shown in the site navigation.
Daily life at Montessori For Children is centred on purposefully designed classrooms that support curiosity and independence. The school highlights a warm, welcoming environment and hands-on learning experiences rather than listing a large range of facilities or activities. From the information provided, the emphasis is clearly on the Montessori classroom environment itself, where children can work with carefully prepared materials and develop at their own pace. The site also indicates that the school has Singapore campuses, including Newton and Broadrick, alongside global campuses in Hong Kong and Canada.
What makes Montessori For Children distinctive is its long-standing commitment, since 1992, to an authentic Montessori education for very young children. Families looking for a preschool with a calm atmosphere, a clear Montessori identity, and programmes for children from infancy through the early primary years may find it a strong fit. It appears especially suited to parents who value hands-on learning, independence, and a school culture shaped by the standards of AMI.
