Montessori Children’s House is a preschool in Singapore’s Central Region, located at 123 Montessori Ave. It serves children বয়স 2 to 6 and describes itself as a place where each child is welcomed as a “beautiful seed of unlimited wisdom and potential.” The school says it aims to support each child’s inner guide so they can grow into well-adapted individuals prepared for the real world. Its atmosphere is presented as safe, seen, and loved, with learning taking place in a prepared environment tailored to each child’s unique needs and interests.
The school uses a Montessori approach and says it is committed to sharing “true Montessori education.” AMI approved materials are used, placed on open shelves and arranged from the simplest to the most complex so children can investigate, explore, and interact with them. The school also says its AMI-trained teachers plan hands-on learning experiences through observation and reflection, with the teacher acting as a guide rather than directing every step. Multi-age groupings are part of the model, allowing children to learn from older classmates, mentor younger ones, and progress at their own pace. The school lists English and Mandarin among its languages.
Daily life is shaped by a prepared environment that the school describes as orderly, beautiful, real, and purposeful. Children are given freedom to move and choose from materials designed to meet the needs of their age group, and the approach is intended to support practical skills as well as abstract knowledge. The community aspect is also emphasised, with the school describing a loving and caring environment that values care, grace and courtesy, compassion, responsibility, ownership, and respect. The source does not list specific extracurricular activities or facilities beyond the learning environment and materials.
What stands out most is the school’s focus on Montessori principles, its long history since being founded in 1989, and its emphasis on nurturing the child’s inner potential through a calm, supportive setting. Montessori Children’s House may suit families looking for a preschool that values independence, practical learning, and mixed-age interaction within a warm community. It also appears well suited to families who want a setting where teachers guide rather than dominate, and where children are encouraged to learn through experience, exploration, and steady progress at their own pace.
