Bright Learners Preschool is a Reggio-inspired boutique preschool in Katong, Singapore, serving children from 2 months to 6 years. The school describes itself as a place where children are seen as capable, curious, and full of potential, and its guiding principle is that children are at the heart of everything. The tone from the school’s materials is gentle and personal, with an emphasis on being small, rooted, and known. For the youngest children, the school highlights a 1:3 infant care ratio, which it says is below ECDA’s 1:5, and it notes that lower ratios are kept across every class up to K2.
The curriculum is based on Reggio Emilia inspiration and inquiry-based practice, with children described as active protagonists in their own learning. The school’s early years offering for children from 18 months to 4 years says that first friendships, first stories, and first inquiries develop through play rather than drills, and that language blooms through play. For children from 4 years to 6 years, the preschool years focus on pre-literacy and numeracy through meaningful play, with a goal of helping children feel primary-ready, confident, and curious. English is the language listed for the school.
Daily life at Bright Learners appears to be built around calm routines, sensory experiences, and close family connection. The infant care page mentions tummy time, music, story time, and calm daily rhythms as part of a gentle, sensory-rich start. The school also says that families are welcome to walk in at any time to see a real day, observe their child at play, nurse in quiet care areas, or work nearby while children settle in. It specifically says that family spaces have been set up for this purpose, so parents do not have to wonder what their child’s day looks like. The source also includes a reading nook, suggesting spaces designed for quiet and shared moments.
What seems most distinctive about Bright Learners is its strong emphasis on being a boutique preschool where every child is known, alongside its Reggio-inspired approach and open-door policy for families. The school’s messaging consistently returns to children’s curiosity, capability, and potential, while also highlighting warm, responsive care. It may be a good fit for families looking for a small early childhood setting in Katong, with English-language learning, low ratios, and a play-based approach that values observation, inquiry, and close partnership with parents.
