Kensington International Kindergarten is an English-language preschool and nursery in Warsaw’s Wilanów district, at ul. Królowej Marysieńki 70. It serves children from age 1 to 6. The school presents itself as a place inspired by the Froebel and Montessori philosophies, with an emphasis on closeness and respect for the young child. Its atmosphere is described as one of learning and adventure in an English style, with a focus on comfort, safety, and helping children feel confident and at ease in the group.
The curriculum is rooted in Montessori and Froebel ideas, and daily communication takes place in English. Each group has two teachers, including at least one English-speaking teacher, and the school uses immersion so that children are surrounded by the language throughout the day. English is supported by a bilingual approach, and Polish and Spanish also appear in the school’s language offer. The educational profile is strongly language-based and arts-oriented, and the school says it draws on experience from British early-years settings. It also highlights regular contact with institutions in London, video calls in English with children in the UK, and sharing of traditions and customs between the two countries.
Daily life at Kensington International Kindergarten includes art, contact with nature, and everyday movement outdoors regardless of the weather. The school places importance on a daily outdoor activity routine and also includes an afternoon English tea time called “Tea Time.” The building is described as resembling a classic British residence, with bay windows, a stylish two-storey structure, and its own garden. Inside, the design is intended to reflect English style through wallpaper and decorations. Alongside the core programme, the school offers language and artistic workshops, dance, art classes, swimming lessons at the pool, Gordonki for the youngest children, and plans for acting classes.
What makes the school distinctive is its clear British inspiration and its close connection with British early-years education. The school says it works daily with a network of professional British preschools and nurseries and builds its concept around multicultural awareness. This may appeal to families looking for an English-language setting for young children, with daily immersion, a strong arts component, and a calm, respectful environment. It is also a good fit for families who value outdoor activity, bilingual exposure, and a setting that combines language learning with creative and physical experiences.
