Colegio Montessori is a school in Mamatunta, San Jerónimo, in Cusco, Peru, serving children and young people from age 2 through age 15. It offers levels from Comunidad Infantil through secondary, and its site presents the school as one that follows the Montessori method. The tone suggested by its own materials is calm and child-centered, with Maria Montessori’s idea, “Las manos son los instrumentos de nuestros deseos,” placed prominently on the page.
The educational levels shown on the school’s site are Comunidad Infantil for 2-year-olds, Casa de niños for ages 3 to 5, Talleres for primary from 1st to 6th grade, Erdkinder for secondary from 1st to 3rd grade, and Preparatoria for secondary 4th and 5th grade. The curriculum tags available for the school are Montessori, Primaria, and Secundaria. Spanish is listed as the language. Beyond that, the source does not describe additional academic programs or special language offerings, so the clearest picture is of a Montessori pathway that continues steadily from early childhood into the secondary years.
The school’s online materials also mention a Grupo Scout, identified as Grupo Scout 250. That is the only extracurricular or community activity specifically named in the source. The images on the site show different school settings and age levels, but the source does not provide written detail about facilities, so it is safest to say only that the school presents a range of learning environments across its levels. Families looking at Colegio Montessori are likely to notice the continuity across stages, from very young children through adolescents, with the same Montessori foundation carrying through the school.
What makes Colegio Montessori distinctive in the source is its full span of Montessori education, from age 2 to age 15, within one school in Cusco. It is a fit for families who want a Spanish-language Montessori education that continues beyond primary school and into secondary. Because the school names each stage clearly and includes both academic levels and a scout group, it may especially suit families who value a structured yet child-focused pathway and a school identity rooted in the Montessori approach.
