Lighthouse Preschool is a small early childhood school in Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, at C-1-3A, Centum@Oasis Corporate Park, Oasis Damansara, Jalan PJU 1A/2. The school describes itself as a place where children are “known, not enrolled,” and its guiding belief is that every child deserves to be seen. It serves children from 6 months to 6 years, with after-school care for ages 6 to 9, and says its classes are deliberately small. The atmosphere is presented as calm, warm, and personal, with a strong emphasis on each child being recognised by name and as an individual.

The curriculum is bilingual and EYFS-inspired, with English, Mandarin, and Bahasa used through play. Lighthouse highlights phonics, discovery, friendships, routines, and independence-building as part of its approach, and says it aims to help children become confident, independent, and primary-ready. The school also describes its programmes as supporting children from their first playgroup through to a confident, primary-ready graduate. From the language on the site, learning is shaped by everyday experiences rather than a highly formal setting, with more one-to-one moments and a steady focus on early literacy and routine.

Daily life at Lighthouse includes circle time, outdoor play, Mandarin lessons, literacy games, art hour, cookery afternoon, and cleaning up after themselves. The photos and captions on the site show children lining up together, chatting during snack time, and laughing during lessons. Families are invited to visit and see a classroom in session, and the school encourages tours so parents can meet the teachers and get a feel for the environment. The site also notes that Lighthouse has two centres and refers to a warm welcome at both Ara Damansara and Desa ParkCity.

What stands out most clearly is the school’s size and its focus on being known. Lighthouse repeatedly returns to the idea of small classes, close relationships, and children being seen as individuals, rather than simply part of a larger enrolment. It may be a good fit for families looking for a bilingual preschool with a gentle, structured, play-based feel, and for parents who value early independence, phonics, and a setting that is intentionally small. The school also appears well suited to multilingual families, and to those looking for care that extends into after-school hours.
