The school offers bilingual education in Dutch and English. The source also notes that no prior knowledge of Dutch is required for the day school, as the programme supports children at different language levels.
Daily life at Dutch School Nairobi takes place on a large, green campus in Karen with space for outdoor learning, play, exploration, and discovery. The school highlights small classes and individual attention, with the toddler group described as a warm and safe environment for learning through play in small groups of up to 15 children. The school also offers a Dutch language and culture afternoon programme for children at other international schools in Nairobi, and Dutch language classes for adults at all levels, which may appeal to parents and family members.
What stands out most in the school’s own description is the combination of Dutch-language education, bilingual learning, and a close-knit setting in an international city. The school says it aims to provide internationally minded, differentiated education that helps pupils develop into open-minded, inquiring, and critical global citizens. It may be a good fit for families looking for Dutch and English education in Nairobi, especially those who value a small school community, personalized attention, and a route that can support future study in either Dutch-speaking or other international environments.
