For the younger years, Prep.Pre School accepts children from 57 days old to 5 years old, with basic learning in writing, reading, speaking, and listening alongside class goals. The elementary programme serves ages 6 to 12, with English, reading, and writing at the centre, and it also provides mathematics, science, social studies, and Japanese at a level equivalent to public elementary school. Based on IB theory, the school also includes integrated subjects such as discussion, social studies visits, and practical activities. The languages listed are Japanese and English.
Daily life appears to be organised across several age ranges and schedules, including weekday, Saturday, and longer holiday programmes. In addition, there are enrichment courses, baby and parent classes, private and semi-private lessons, after school and Saturday school, and a boys and girls club for elementary students. The school’s online materials also show a range of images and a multilingual presence in Japanese and English.
What makes Upbeat International School distinctive is the combination of IB PYP learning, language development, and a stated commitment to intercultural understanding and broad personal growth. Its programme is designed for families seeking an English and Japanese environment with a strong academic and holistic focus from infancy through the elementary years.
