Mok Hing Yiu Creche is a non-profit-making day creche under Po Leung Kuk child care services in Hong Kong. It serves children from birth to 2 years old and aims to provide proper care for infants and children. Established in 1978 and renamed in 2009 after a generous donation from Dr. Mok Hing Yiu, the creche has been dedicated to offering diversified day care services for infants and their families. The overall atmosphere, as described by its purpose, is centered on care, support, and meeting the needs of very young children and the people who look after them.

The creche’s service focus is on child care, nutrition, and developmental needs. Its materials note that it designs a nutrition menu to meet the developmental needs of babies and toddlers, and provides milk powder based on different ages. Meals are prepared by the cook with an emphasis on hygiene. Chinese and English are listed among the languages associated with the service. For families seeking care for very young children, the approach appears to be practical and attentive, with everyday routines built around age-appropriate nourishment and proper support.

Daily arrangements are straightforward. The creche operates Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fees are approved by the Social Welfare Department, and the monthly fees include a specific amount of milk powder and meals. Needy families can apply for the Child Care Centre Fee Remission Scheme. The admission materials also note that pregnant women or their families submit an application with a copy of a medical certificate, which gives a sense of how the service connects with families early in the process. A calendar is also shown on the school information page, though no further detail is given about activities in the source excerpt.

What makes Mok Hing Yiu Creche distinctive is its long-standing role as a Po Leung Kuk day creche serving babies and toddlers with a clear focus on care, nutrition, and family support. Its age range, structured hours, and fee remission option may be especially helpful for families looking for approved child care for the earliest years. It may be a good fit for parents who want a non-profit setting for children from birth to age 2, with meals included and a service model designed around young children’s developmental needs.
