The Maverick School is in Ghana and describes itself as focusing on giving children the best education in their formative years. Its ethos centres on nurturing excellence and creating an inclusive space for every child. The school says it aims to activate and cultivate each child’s uniqueness while supporting social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Its preschool welcomes children from 3 months to 5 years, and the school also notes that its classes range from Creche to Primary.

In the preschool, Montessori principles are applied with an emphasis on following the child’s sensorial experiences. The school says it blends Montessori Methods and the British Early Years Framework for its preschool curriculum, and uses the British National Curriculum in primary. English is the language listed for the school. The source also mentions a Cambridge Curriculum transition, describing it as globally recognised and suitable for children who may relocate or study abroad.

Daily life at The Maverick School includes a range of extracurricular activities such as STEM, Swimming, and Ballet. The school also runs a summer programme during the long vacation for Maverick School students and children from outside the school, with activities described as academically grounded and fun. It notes that sessions end at 2pm, with parents able to collect children until 4pm before a late payment charge applies. The school also says it has a seasoned SEN team offering in-class and one-to-one pull-out sessions for children with multiple and complex academic needs.

What stands out most in the school’s description is its focus on early years education, inclusion, and meeting children at different stages of development. The combination of Montessori methods, the British Early Years Framework, and the British National Curriculum suggests a structured but child-centred approach. It may be a good fit for families looking for an English-medium preschool environment in Ghana that places value on individual development, early support, and a pathway that can include Cambridge Curriculum transition later on.
