Upendo Daycare is a daycare for children from birth to 5 years old, offering care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Its message, “Where Love Meets Learning,” reflects a nurturing atmosphere that aims to prepare children for school and for life through holistic care and professional support. The school says that every child is cherished and every milestone is celebrated, and it presents itself as a place where children can feel safe, supported, and encouraged as they grow.
The approach at Upendo combines holistic care, creative play, and academic preparation. The daycare describes its work as bridging the gap between daycare and formal schooling, especially in the preschool years. Infant care focuses on a safe, loving environment and the building of trust and physical development, while the toddler program channels children’s natural energy into structured play and social interaction to build confidence. For preschoolers, the program shifts toward more structured play-learning. Upendo also highlights on-site Speech Therapy and Food Therapy, along with physical education, as part of its support for children’s physical and emotional development.
Daily life at Upendo includes everyday choruses, which the school says help build memory, language skills, and a sense of community. The daycare also mentions gardening, coloring, singing, and planting activities, along with outdoor learning that helps children explore health and the environment through hands-on fun. The environment is described as supervised and active, with a focus on bright minds and active bodies. The source does not list specific facilities, but it does show a setting shaped by play, music, movement, and therapeutic support. A Google rating of 4.8 out of 5 is also shown on the school’s page.
What makes Upendo distinctive is the way it brings together care, creativity, and support services in one setting for very young children. Its core pillars include a holistic approach, passionate teachers, and supervision to keep children safe. The combination of speech therapy, food therapy, physical education, and play-based learning may be especially helpful for families looking for a daycare that supports children with different developmental needs while also preparing them for school. It appears well suited to parents who want a warm, structured environment for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, with a strong emphasis on growth, confidence, and readiness for the next stage.
