• Blue paper strips
• Green paper (forest)
• Glue
• Large paper

Instructions

Create a jungle map with rivers flowing through. Add animal stickers where they might live.

Educator tip

Discuss how rivers help plants and animals survive.

Assessment

Observe and note: ability to follow two-step instructions, use of new vocabulary in context, early problem-solving strategies, and sustained shared thinking episodes. Assess against Development Matters age-band expectations. Observe map creation and river concept understanding.
