Tell Me What You Hear Walk

Toddlers build vocabulary and cognitive connections through repetition and movement. 'Tell Me What You Hear Walk' strengthens early classification and descriptive language.

2) Demonstrate action once.

3) Invite toddlers individually to try.

4) Encourage 1–3 word responses.

5) Repeat key vocabulary 3–5 times.

Assessment

Observe and note: emerging independence, two-word combinations, imitation of actions, and early pretend play. Use Development Matters non-statutory guidance checkpoints. Participation, imitation, attempt to label, ability to follow one-step direction.
